On an optimistic note: at least we wouldn't need to worry about climate change or pronouns or which toilet to use on a given day... You know, important stuff like that 😎

Excellent thought-provoker, J. Lots to think about and chew on there. Thank You for sharing.

But i'll follow-up on Jack's earlier question: Who is that an endorsement of?

I didn't see your comment from long ago I noticed it now cuz I was reposting this. I voted for Jill Stein. I think I agree with Michael Hudson that the inertia in the system is so great that for the United States it is hopeless. It was probably a wrong turn, Western civilization, Rome should never have gotten rid of their kings when they did That was it. It set the stage, although it took centuries and a millennium, for the Monopoly centric non-productive finance capitalism we have today. 2000 years of wars and medicity and Settler colonialist theft...But hope rises in the East. And if you listen to Pepe Escobar, he says the israeliere rock war is primarily about stopping BRICS. I POSTED HIS MOST RECENT ESSAY

What’s the implicit message here? Vote for Jill Stein!??

I I meant it as a shout and warning. I support Jill Stein and that is the implicit message, But it seems highly unlikely the American people will change their mind or even learn about her before election day. The real message is that the people have to rise up and just say no unless they don't want to have a future. And right now with Biden, And in a future of Trump or Harris, If we make it through the next month, unless we have national strikes to force whoever is in charge to stop supporting Israel things look bleak. And bleak to the point of no future. That was my point. The people of America seems to think this is some sort of game. It's deadly serious. I wish people understood this.

"Americans see the world through a straw."

What ever happened to diplomacy? Didn't we used to send James Baker abroad to try to cut deals? Isn't that what our State Dept does? Why have we bent over so easily for AIPAC?

I sincerely hope that enough people will wake up. But as long as they have their Netflix series and their daily veggies (on a burger)... They won't care.

Until it's too late.

The PTB designed it very well.

People are waking up, but too slow in my opinion. Although I've seen the awakening swelling since covid. There might still be hope, but I'm pessimistic (as I think your `sober` message is relatively accurate).

Thank you for reading. I'm very concerned, and that's why I wrote this. I'm 74, protested the Vietnam War, and read extensively about all this at that time. I'm much more frightened today. Hopefully the United States will wake up to the fact that our weapons are inadequate, and cool it, but that's not our nature. On that read Andre Martyanov. If you follow simplicious I recommend the post from yesterday. I saw this last evening. I thought the United States was the bad guy when I dropped out to be a ski bum in 1971, since that I'm done other things, I recommend my serialized, for now free novel on my other substack, a builder's tale. I saw this video last evening

Since Jill Stein's attack on Putin I stopped supporting her. Voted for her in 2020. Not again.

So, "DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!"

Do what, exactly?

We are trapped on a runaway train. There isn't much of anything we can do except get right with God & keep our karma clean. 🤷

Yes well it all seems self-evident obvious to me nothing will stop the proverbial hitting the fan .....

About- "The path we choose in the coming days and weeks could determine whether we step back from this brink or plunge headlong into an abyss ............"

We? We have no choices open to us. None. Not one. There is nothing "we" can do about any of this insanity.
